Maria Velentza is head of the unit of securities, DG internal market and services markets at the European Commission. Her main responsibilities are institutional and legal aspects of the securities markets, regulatory policy, credit rating agencies, international discussions in the field of securities, and supervisory convergence.

Venokur founded SVENOKUR LLC in 2010, where she helps clients stay in compliance with Dodd-Frank. Prior to SVENOKUR, Venokur was a member of the Firm and Chair of the Derivatives Practice Group of Lowenstein Sandler PC (2007-2010) and was Special Counsel in the Derivatives and Commodities and Structured Finance Practices of Stroock and Stroock and Lavan LLP (2001 – 2007).
Ms. Venokur also served as Vice President, Transaction Management for Lehman Brothers, Inc., and Vice President, Legal Counsel at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at European American Bank.

Paul Adolph Volcker is an American economist. He was the Chairman of the Federal Reserve under United States Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan (from August 1979 to August 1987). He is currently chairman of the newly formed Economic Recovery Advisory Board under President Barack Obama.
