House Democrats Push New Funding for CFTC

House Democrats on Thursday announced a bill that would tap the private sector to inject new funding into the U.S. futures regulator, as the agency struggles to put in place financial reforms and investigate bankrupt brokerage MF Global. Last month, Congress refused to give the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission the big budget boost that the White House had requested.
