The Mifid Review (or Mifid II to some) is big, very big. So it is necessary to concentrate on the investor protection/conduct of business related items in the draft legislation that was issued in October 2011, namely:banning of inducements for independent advice, extension of scope to include structured deposits, execution only dealing, the Ucits complex/non-complex debate, product intervention.
