House Panel Pushes Bill to Delay New Derivatives Rules

U.S. House Republicans voted Tuesday to advance legislation to delay new derivatives regulations by 15 months, clearing it for a full House vote. Democrats have criticized the bill as an indirect way of trying to kill the regulatory changes that Dodd-Frank mandates, but Republicans say it is necessary to give the regulators time to consider all the implications of the new regulations.
